Axel's take: 8.6/10

Spacious suites and strong value, with stadium construction as the main catch. a practical 3-star condo-style resort just off the south Strip, scored for what it is.

Desert Rose is a 3-star condo-style resort, and we'd pick it for space and practicality rather than Vegas spectacle. Its one- and two-bedroom suites have full kitchens and separate living areas, making it a strong choice for families and longer stays. Recent Tripadvisor, Expedia and Agoda guests consistently praise clean, spacious accommodation and friendly staff. Free parking and no resort fee strengthen the value, while the pool and hot tub earn plenty of positive mentions.

The big catch is Athletics baseball stadium construction directly next door: recent guests report noise, although its impact varies. Don't assume daily housekeeping; guests describe a more self-service setup. Some also mention dated areas and sound carrying between rooms. We'd skip it if guaranteed quiet, full hotel service or a front-and-center Strip address matters more than extra space.

• Best for: families wanting separate bedrooms; longer stays with self-catering; travelers bringing a car

• Watch out for: Athletics stadium construction next door; limited routine housekeeping; variable soundproofing

• Location: Walkable to the south Strip and MGM Grand, but not directly on Las Vegas Boulevard.

• Rooms: Roomy one- and two-bedroom suites with full kitchens; some guests find parts dated.

• Cleanliness: Strong overall feedback across sites, with occasional lapses rather than a widespread pattern.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a recurring strength; confirm housekeeping arrangements before arrival.

• Amenities: Outdoor pool, hot tub, bar and grill, barbecue area, and complimentary Wi-Fi.

• Fees and surprises: No resort fee and free self-parking; neighboring stadium construction can affect the stay.
