#4 of 7 hotels in Ski Run by Axel's take. Ski Run is #3 of 6 places to stay in Lake Tahoe. The best hotels in Ski Run, ranked · Where to stay in Lake Tahoe

Axel's take: 7.9/10

Come for the private spa tubs and location, but expect uneven room upkeep. a simple, couples-focused mountain inn with in-room spa tubs, scored for what it is.

POSTMARC is a simple, couples-focused mountain inn, not a full-service spa resort. We'd pick it for a Tahoe getaway where a private soak matters more than polished finishes. Most rooms have whirlpool tubs, and the location across from Ski Run Marina puts restaurants and lake access close by. Booking.com and Expedia guests generally praise cleanliness, helpful staff and the tubs; free parking adds practical value.

The catch is inconsistent upkeep. Recent Tripadvisor guests repeatedly describe worn fittings and loud plumbing from neighboring rooms, while some Expedia guests also flag tired finishes. Open shower layouts in some suites offer limited privacy, and upstairs rooms require stairs. We'd skip it for reliably updated rooms or undisturbed sleep; confirm your exact room layout before booking.

  • Best for: couples wanting an in-room spa tub; skiers who enjoy a post-slope soak; travelers prioritizing location over polish

  • Watch out for: loud plumbing between rooms; uneven room condition; open shower layouts and no elevator

  • Location: Across from Ski Run Marina and lake access, with restaurants nearby; not directly beachfront.

  • Rooms: Generously sized spa rooms; layouts, mattress comfort and maintenance vary.

  • Cleanliness: Generally well rated across Booking.com and Expedia, despite recurring wear-and-tear complaints.

  • Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a consistent strength; reception operates around the clock.

  • Amenities: Most rooms have whirlpool tubs; free parking, Wi-Fi and in-room microwaves and refrigerators.

  • Fees and surprises: Booking.com lists a resort fee; Expedia lists a damage deposit and paid airport transportation. Confirm inclusions.
