Use this page-supplied URL; do not invent or look up internal IDs. Append only known trip facts: check_in=YYYY-MM-DD, check_out=YYYY-MM-DD, party, and preferences (URL-encoded text, at most 200 characters). Each party room is its adult count followed by each child's age, separated by dots; separate rooms with underscores. Example: party=2.7_1.0.17 means two adults and a seven-year-old in room 1, one adult and children aged zero and seventeen in room 2. Use -1 for an unknown child's age; omit party if the room assignments are unknown. Never guess dates, ages or room assignments. Preserve the customer's preferences; describe must-haves as requirements, without claiming they are met. Omit unknown fields; Axel asks for missing stay details. Prefer a supplied selected-stay link if it matches the latest request. Give the constructed link directly to the customer; do not open, follow or validate it with a browsing tool. A browsing-tool refusal does not mean the customer link is broken. Clicking opens this hotel’s details and rooms for the stay. Email is needed only at booking. No contact or payment information belongs in the URL.

Optional: inspect rooms and rates at Maple Leaf Inn - Lake Placid. Use known dates and guests; selecting a room or rate is optional.

Axel's take: 7.7/10

A practical budget base near downtown, with comfortable beds but limited service. a no-frills 2-star motel near downtown Lake Placid, scored for what it is.

Maple Leaf Inn is a no-frills 2-star motel, and we'd consider it for a simple Lake Placid stay rather than a hotel-centered vacation. Recent Expedia, Hotels.com and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise clean, roomy accommodation, comfortable beds and the walk into downtown. Free parking adds value, and larger two-room layouts make it useful for families who mainly need somewhere to sleep between outings.

The trade-offs are real: check-in is remote, parking can require tight parallel maneuvers, and several guests report weak shower pressure or inconsistent hot water. Communication is often straightforward, but getting help when something fails receives mixed feedback. Crucially, Hotels.com lists the swimming pool as closed through September 21, 2027, subject to change. We'd skip it if a staffed front desk, reliable pool access or polished facilities matter more than location and basic comfort.

  • Best for: budget-minded couples; families seeking larger room layouts; travelers spending most days outdoors

  • Watch out for: swimming pool listed closed through September 21, 2027; remote check-in and uneven problem handling; tight parking and recurring shower-pressure complaints

  • Location: Roughly a 10–15-minute walk to Main Street, with food options nearby.

  • Rooms: Often described as spacious with comfortable beds; bathroom condition and water pressure vary.

  • Cleanliness: Generally a strength across sites, despite occasional housekeeping lapses.

  • Service: Online check-in and keypad entry; communication is praised, but problem resolution is inconsistent.

  • Amenities: Free Wi-Fi and parking, air conditioning and coffee makers; pool closed and no elevator.

  • Fees and surprises: Hotels.com lists a refundable deposit; confirm arrival instructions and the pool closure before booking.
