Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto is a contemporary five-star hotel with a resort feel, built around an 800-year-old pond garden in Higashiyama. It's a strong pick for travelers who want generous rooms, serious wellness facilities and somewhere quiet to return after sightseeing. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the immaculate rooms, comfortable beds and attentive staff, including thoughtful treatment of children.
