Axel's take: 7.9/10

Come for the beach and pool, not polished bungalows. a simple 3-star beachfront bungalow resort, scored for what it is.

Dreamland is a simple 3-star bungalow resort on Thong Nai Pan Yai, and we'd pick it for an easygoing beach holiday rather than stylish accommodation. The beachfront pool is the main draw, backed by a restaurant and village eating options nearby. Booking.com and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise the peaceful setting, while recent feedback often describes friendly staff and good value.

The bungalows are the compromise: guests across sites mention aging interiors and basic bathrooms, although many find their rooms clean and comfortable enough. Recent reports still vary on maintenance, mattress comfort and Wi-Fi reliability. Check the room category carefully—the official site lists both fan-only and air-conditioned options. It's a strong fit for beach-focused couples and families; we'd skip it for polished rooms, dependable remote working or nightlife on the doorstep.

Best for: families wanting beach and pool time; couples seeking a quiet, good-value stay; travelers comfortable with basic bungalows
Watch out for: aging bungalows and basic bathrooms; mixed mattress comfort and Wi-Fi reports; fan-only rooms among the options
Location: On peaceful Thong Nai Pan Yai, with village restaurants nearby rather than doorstep nightlife.
Rooms: Simple wooden bungalows; fan and air-conditioned categories differ, and maintenance feedback is mixed.
Cleanliness: Often praised as clean, but bathroom upkeep is less consistent.
Service: Recent feedback generally favors the friendly staff, with examples of responsive problem handling.
Amenities: Beachfront pool, children's pool, pool bar, restaurant, Wi-Fi and free parking.
Fees and surprises: Budget for island transfers; breakfast inclusion and extra-bed charges depend on the booking.
