Axel's take: 8.9/10

A strong road-trip stop with standout staff, clean rooms and useful extras. a modern, no-frills budget hotel off I-75, scored for what it is.

This modern, no-frills budget hotel off I-75 gets the important things right. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the cleanliness and genuinely helpful staff, while Booking.com gives both strong marks. We'd pick it for an overnight stop or a short Knoxville visit with a car: free hot breakfast, free parking, an indoor pool and a gym make it a well-rounded option for its class. The colorful lobby adds somewhere to relax outside your room.

The trade-off is the compact, deliberately simple accommodation. Recent guests mention small rooms, and some report hearing footsteps or neighboring rooms, although many describe peaceful stays. Don't expect an in-room microwave or coffee maker; coffee is available in the lobby. We'd skip it for a spacious extended stay or a downtown trip centered on walking. Pets are welcome, with a nonrefundable fee.

• Best for: I-75 road-trippers; short Knoxville visits with a car; travelers with pets

• Watch out for: Compact rooms; Some inter-room and overhead noise; No in-room microwave or coffee maker

• Location: Convenient to I-75 and nearby restaurants; downtown Knoxville is roughly a 15-minute drive.

• Rooms: Simple, modern rooms with mini-fridges; limited space suits shorter stays.

• Cleanliness: Consistently strong praise across recent guest reviews and Booking.com's category ratings.

• Service: Friendly, accommodating staff are the clearest recurring strength.

• Amenities: Free hot breakfast, Wi-Fi and parking; indoor pool, gym and a sociable lobby.

• Fees and surprises: Nonrefundable pet fee and paid EV charging; the confirmed pool is indoors, not outdoors.
