Axel's take: 7.1/10

A practical overnight stop with good breakfast, but rooms need more consistent upkeep. a no-frills 2-star hotel near West Town Mall, scored for what it is.

This no-frills 2-star near West Town Mall makes most sense for a short, car-based stay in west Knoxville. We'd consider it for the convenient shopping-and-dining location, free parking and included hot breakfast, which earns repeated praise. Recent Expedia guests also frequently mention helpful staff, comfortable beds and spacious rooms. Refrigerators and microwaves make the rooms useful rather than fancy.

The trade-off is uneven upkeep. Across Expedia, Tripadvisor and Trip.com, guests describe tired carpets, dated furnishings and occasional maintenance problems; several mention damp or musty smells, although many others report clean rooms. The seasonal outdoor pool is not a dependable centerpiece: one Tripadvisor guest reported it closed throughout a July 2026 stay. We'd skip this if fresh interiors, reliably spotless surroundings or pool time matter more than a convenient overnight base.

• Best for: road-trippers stopping overnight; budget-conscious west Knoxville visitors; shopping and dining near West Town Mall

• Watch out for: dated interiors and uneven maintenance; recurring reports of damp or musty rooms; seasonal pool; confirm availability

• Location: Near West Town Mall and restaurants; better suited to drivers than a downtown-focused stay.

• Rooms: Often described as spacious with comfortable beds; microwaves and refrigerators included, but condition varies.

• Cleanliness: Many clean-room reports, offset by recurring complaints about carpets, dust and musty smells.

• Service: Helpful, friendly staff are a recurring strength, though check-in and problem handling draw some criticism.

• Amenities: Free hot breakfast, Wi-Fi, fitness center, guest laundry and a seasonal outdoor pool.

• Fees and surprises: Self-parking and breakfast are included; pets are not allowed except service animals.
