Good Rosebank value, but noise keeps it from being an easy all-round recommendation. A practical 3-star hotel and serviced-apartment base in Rosebank, scored for what it is.

The Capital on Bath is a practical 3-star hotel with serviced apartments, not a luxury Capital property. We'd pick it for Rosebank convenience and good value: shops, restaurants and galleries are nearby, while parking, Wi-Fi, an outdoor pool and a gym cover the essentials. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise welcoming staff and clean rooms. Executive rooms and apartments add cooking facilities; standard rooms are simpler.

The main compromise is quiet. Reviews across sites mention corridor noise, loud neighbours and street activity; July 2026 guests also reported construction next door, so check its status before booking. Some recent guests report unreliable hot water and housekeeping lapses, although overall cleanliness ratings remain strong. Dining is limited: the hotel advertises breakfast and a short lunchtime menu, rather than full evening service. It's a sensible business or self-catering base; we'd skip it for a reliably peaceful, full-service stay.

• Best for: Value-minded Rosebank business travelers; Longer stays with cooking facilities; Visitors prioritizing shops and restaurants

• Watch out for: Weak soundproofing and reported neighboring construction; Some recent hot-water and housekeeping complaints; Limited on-site dining

• Location: Convenient Rosebank base within walking distance of malls, restaurants and galleries.

• Rooms: Simple standard rooms; executive rooms have kitchenettes, with larger apartments also available.

• Cleanliness: Strong overall ratings, tempered by some recent reports of linen and bathroom problems.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a consistent strength, with occasional follow-through complaints.

• Amenities: Outdoor pool, gym, free Wi-Fi and parking; breakfast plus a limited lunchtime menu.

• Fees and surprises: Breakfast is not always included; airport transfers cost extra, and neighboring construction needs checking.
