Axel's take: 8.5/10

A strong downtown event base, provided you can live with street noise and parking charges. a 3-star extended-stay hotel across from Gainbridge Fieldhouse, scored for what it is.

This 3-star extended-stay hotel is a strong pick for games and concerts at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, directly across the street. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the convenient location, friendly staff, clean rooms and included breakfast. Kitchen suites make longer stays practical, while the indoor pool, well-equipped gym and balcony bar give it more appeal than a basic overnight stop. We'd choose it for an event weekend or a family stay downtown.

The main compromises are street noise and expensive parking. Guests report nighttime traffic noise even upstairs, so a high floor alone isn't a reliable fix. Some recent reviews also flag maintenance niggles and uneven housekeeping, although positive cleanliness reports clearly dominate. Book a kitchen-specific room if cooking matters; not every room has one. We'd skip it if quiet sleep is your first priority.

• Best for: Gainbridge games and concerts; families wanting kitchen suites; walkable downtown stays

• Watch out for: nighttime street noise; expensive self-parking and valet; kitchens only in selected room types

• Location: Across from Gainbridge Fieldhouse, with restaurants and the convention center within walking distance.

• Rooms: Comfortable rooms and practical kitchen suites; occasional maintenance complaints and intrusive street noise.

• Cleanliness: Strong overall guest feedback, with some recent exceptions rather than a dominant negative pattern.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff receive consistent praise; housekeeping execution is less uniform.

• Amenities: Included breakfast, indoor pool, 24-hour gym, guest laundry and a balcony bar.

• Fees and surprises: Self-parking and valet cost extra; pet fees apply, and kitchen facilities depend on room category.
