Axel's take: 8.7/10

A strong downtown base with dependable comfort, but parking and breakfast cost extra. a comfortable 3-star downtown convention hotel, scored for what it is.

This 3-star Courtyard is a strong pick for convention trips and downtown sightseeing, delivering the basics particularly well. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise clean, comfortable rooms and helpful staff, with the Bistro team earning frequent mentions. The indoor connection toward the convention center is useful in bad weather, while museums, White River State Park and Victory Field are close by. We'd choose it for practical comfort and location rather than luxury.

The main catches are the extras: breakfast isn't complimentary, and both self-parking and valet carry substantial charges. Concert noise from nearby outdoor venues also appears on more than one review site, so light sleepers should flag that concern before arrival. We'd skip it if included breakfast or reliably quiet evenings are priorities.

• Best for: convention attendees; museum and ballpark visitors; business travelers

• Watch out for: substantial parking charges; breakfast costs extra; outdoor concert noise on event nights

• Location: Convenient for the convention center, White River State Park, museums and Victory Field.

• Rooms: Guests regularly praise comfortable beds and well-kept rooms; outdoor event noise can intrude.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across recent Expedia and Tripadvisor feedback.

• Service: Generally helpful and welcoming, with particularly frequent praise for Bistro staff.

• Amenities: A 24-hour gym, Bistro serving breakfast and dinner, and on-site laundry cover practical needs.

• Fees and surprises: Breakfast and parking cost extra; Marriott lists housekeeping every other day.
