Axel's take: 8.6/10

Generous rooms and excellent resort facilities, but service needs more consistency. a sprawling five-star, ultra-all-inclusive beach resort for families and couples, scored for what it is.

Rixos Premium Magawish is a sprawling five-star, ultra-all-inclusive beach resort that makes a strong case for staying put. Its sandy beach, spacious accommodation, pools and children's club are the main draws. Booking.com and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise cleanliness and helpful staff, while the specialty restaurants generally impress more than the buffet. We'd shortlist it for families and couples wanting plenty to do without leaving the grounds.

The gap is consistency: Tripadvisor and Trip.com guests describe slow service and difficulty securing restaurant reservations. The grounds also mean considerable walking or waiting for buggies. August 2026 guests reported construction beside Laguna accommodation, and a September review reported the large pool closed; current status needs checking directly. We'd skip it for a small, reliably quiet luxury retreat.

Best for: families wanting activities and a kids' club; couples who enjoy large all-inclusive resorts; travelers prioritizing spacious accommodation
Watch out for: specialty restaurants can be difficult to reserve; long walks and buggy waits; confirm Laguna construction and large-pool availability
Location: On a long sandy beach, around seven kilometers from Hurghada airport; best suited to resort-centered holidays.
Rooms: Generous accommodation, including swim-up suites and pool villas; choose the location within the grounds carefully.
Cleanliness: A consistent strength across guest feedback, despite occasional housekeeping lapses.
Service: Many warm staff mentions, but slow drinks, follow-through and restaurant booking problems recur.
Amenities: Multiple pools, specialty restaurants, Rixy Kids Club, fitness facilities and Anjana Spa.
Fees and surprises: Accor specifies families and couples only; confirm booking eligibility and the status of reported construction and pool maintenance.
