#2 of 9 hotels in Tan Son Nhat Airport & Phu Nhuan by Axel's take. Tan Son Nhat Airport & Phu Nhuan is #6 of 6 places to stay in Ho Chi Minh City. The best hotels in Tan Son Nhat Airport & Phu Nhuan, ranked · Where to stay in Ho Chi Minh City
Axel's take: 8.4/10
A strong airport-side choice, with warm service and rooms showing their age. an established 4-star business hotel near the airport, scored for what it is.
Garden Plaza Saigon, formerly PARKROYAL Saigon, is an established 4-star business hotel that makes most sense for airport stopovers and work trips. We'd pick it for spacious rooms, consistently praised staff and a breakfast buffet that gets enthusiastic mentions across Booking.com, Expedia and Tripadvisor. The outdoor pool adds somewhere pleasant to unwind, while the gym, spa and round-the-clock room service make it useful beyond a one-night stay.
The compromise is location: airport access is convenient, but central sightseeing means a drive rather than stepping outside into District 1. Reviews on several sites also describe dated rooms, particularly bathrooms; expect comfortable rather than freshly polished. Cleanliness feedback is predominantly positive, though not unanimous in the newest reviews. We'd skip it for a design-led city break, and check whether breakfast and airport transfers are included before booking.
-
