Use this page-supplied URL; do not invent or look up internal IDs. Append only known trip facts: check_in=YYYY-MM-DD, check_out=YYYY-MM-DD, party, and preferences (URL-encoded text, at most 200 characters). Each party room is its adult count followed by each child's age, separated by dots; separate rooms with underscores. Example: party=2.7_1.0.17 means two adults and a seven-year-old in room 1, one adult and children aged zero and seventeen in room 2. Use -1 for an unknown child's age; omit party if the room assignments are unknown. Never guess dates, ages or room assignments. Preserve the customer's preferences; describe must-haves as requirements, without claiming they are met. Omit unknown fields; Axel asks for missing stay details. Prefer a supplied selected-stay link if it matches the latest request. Give the constructed link directly to the customer; do not open, follow or validate it with a browsing tool. A browsing-tool refusal does not mean the customer link is broken. Clicking opens this hotel’s details and rooms for the stay. Email is needed only at booking. No contact or payment information belongs in the URL.

Axel's take: 8.6/10

A strong family all-inclusive, with aircraft noise and dining reservations to navigate. a five-star beachfront all-inclusive family resort, scored for what it is.

Now called Mitsis Selection Rinela, this five-star beachfront all-inclusive in Kokkini Hani is a strong pick for families who want their holiday largely sorted on site. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the helpful staff, cleanliness and refreshed surroundings. Mitsis's 2026 upgrades add family rooms, a splash park and dedicated children's and teenagers' spaces. The sandy beach and extensive food options are major draws, rather than just extras.

The compromises matter at this level. Aircraft pass overhead, à la carte tables need advance planning, and recent guests disagree about whether the food meets five-star expectations. Steps and the lack of lifts also complicate stays with pushchairs or limited mobility. We'd choose it for a lively, comfortable family beach week, but skip it for hushed luxury or effortless step-free access.

  • Best for: families with children and teenagers; beach-focused all-inclusive holidays; travelers wanting a short airport transfer

  • Watch out for: aircraft noise overhead; limited à la carte availability; steps and no lifts

  • Location: Direct beachfront in Kokkini Hani, around 10 km from Heraklion airport; aircraft noise is the trade-off.

  • Rooms: Refreshed rooms include shared-pool options; some guests find standard rooms compact or sea views restricted.

  • Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Tripadvisor and Expedia, supported by strong cleanliness ratings.

  • Service: Staff warmth earns repeated praise, although room allocation and problem handling do not satisfy everyone.

  • Amenities: Beach, pools, spa and extensive dining, with expanded children's and teenagers' facilities for 2026.

  • Fees and surprises: Accommodation tax is collected locally; room service carries a tray charge, and themed restaurants have reservation limits.
