#7 of 9 hotels in Bahnhofsviertel by Axel's take. Bahnhofsviertel is #3 of 7 places to stay in Frankfurt. The best hotels in Bahnhofsviertel, ranked · Where to stay in Frankfurt

Axel's take: 7.5/10

Good for a station stopover, less appealing for a relaxed city break. A practical 3-star hotel beside Frankfurt’s main station, scored for what it is.

This straightforward 3-star beside Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof is a good pick when easy train connections matter more than a polished neighborhood. Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, clean rooms and convenient access to restaurants and the city center. Breakfast generally earns positive comments, and in-room coffee machines are a useful extra. We'd shortlist it for a brief business trip or an early departure.

The station district is the main compromise: guests across several sites describe visible drug use and an uncomfortable street atmosphere. Room choice matters, too—some singles and bathrooms are very small, while larger rooms receive better feedback. Noise reports vary, with tram and neighboring-room noise recurring despite other guests finding it quiet. We'd skip it if you're sensitive to noise or want a gentler neighborhood for evening walks.

  • Best for: Rail travelers and early departures; Short business stays; Budget-conscious city visitors

  • Watch out for: Uncomfortable station-district street atmosphere; Small single rooms and bathrooms; Variable soundproofing

  • Location: Excellent main-station access; the surrounding streets are a recurring guest concern.

  • Rooms: Simple rooms with coffee machines; size and noise exposure vary considerably.

  • Cleanliness: Generally praised across booking sites, though occasional recent lapses are reported.

  • Service: Friendly, helpful reception staff are the most consistent strength.

  • Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, breakfast buffet, lobby bar and 24-hour reception.

  • Fees and surprises: Breakfast, parking and pets cost extra; garage access is narrow and parking cannot be reserved.
