Axel's take: 8.1/10

A strong station-side choice, especially for its staff, breakfast and renovated Palais rooms. An upscale business hotel beside Frankfurt’s main station, scored for what it is.

Le Méridien Frankfurt is an upscale business hotel that makes particular sense for rail arrivals and short city stays. We'd pick it for the helpful staff, well-regarded breakfast and easy access to the Main river and old town. Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise cleanliness and service. The hotel says its historic Palais rooms were fully refurbished in 2025; we'd favor that wing for the freshest interiors rather than assume every room matches the renovation photos.

The trade-offs are uneven room sizes and finish: recent guests describe everything from spacious, polished rooms to cramped accommodation with tired details. Several summer 2026 reviews also mention air-conditioning struggling, although others report it working well. The immediate square gets better feedback than the wider station district. We'd skip it if you want grand-hotel polish throughout or a picturesque neighborhood outside the door.

• Best for: Rail travelers and short stopovers; Business travelers; City breaks with easy transport

• Watch out for: Room size and condition vary; Some summer air-conditioning complaints; Wider station district can feel rough

• Location: A few minutes from the main station; the river and old town are walkable.

• Rooms: Favor the refurbished Palais wing; check the specific room size and category.

• Cleanliness: Strong overall feedback, despite occasional housekeeping lapses.

• Service: Helpful, welcoming staff are the most consistent strength across review sites.

• Amenities: The Legacy Bar & Grill, breakfast buffet, a small gym and sauna.

• Fees and surprises: Parking and pets cost extra; breakfast inclusion depends on your booking.
