#2 of 2 hotels in Niederrad & Lyoner Quartier by Axel's take. Niederrad & Lyoner Quartier is #7 of 7 places to stay in Frankfurt. The best hotels in Niederrad & Lyoner Quartier, ranked · Where to stay in Frankfurt

Axel's take: 3.0/10

Closed after the operator cited building defects; choose another hotel for now. A currently closed 4-star conference hotel in Frankfurt’s Niederrad business district, scored for what it is.

This 4-star conference hotel in Niederrad is not a practical booking choice right now. It closed on September 21, 2026; Tagesschau reports that operator Novum cited serious building defects, including fire-safety concerns. The owner disputes the handling of the closure, and no reopening has been confirmed in the reporting we found. We'd choose elsewhere rather than rely on its still-live hotel listings.

Before closure, the picture was more ordinary than disastrous: Expedia guests often praised comfortable beds and helpful staff, while Tripadvisor reviews were more divided over upkeep and housekeeping. Its tram access suited business stays better than sightseeing on foot. The pool and sauna were already unavailable according to recent guests. Those earlier strengths do not outweigh the uncertainty now: skip it until reopening and available facilities are independently confirmed.

Best for: Previously, Niederrad business trips; Previously, tram-connected short stays
Watch out for: Closed since September 21, 2026; No confirmed reopening found; Pool and sauna unavailable before closure
Location: Niederrad business-district setting with nearby tram access, rather than a central sightseeing base.
Rooms: Pre-closure guests praised bed comfort, but reports of dated bathrooms and uneven maintenance recur.
Cleanliness: Many positive reports, alongside repeated recent housekeeping complaints across Tripadvisor and Expedia.
Service: Helpful staff feature in positive reviews, though experiences were not consistently strong.
Amenities: Previously offered dining and a 24-hour gym; guests reported the pool and sauna were no longer available.
Fees and surprises: Closure is the overriding concern; older listings also show separate parking, breakfast and pet charges.
