Axel's take: 8.6/10

A strong family resort, with greener surroundings than polished luxury. a sprawling five-star family and golf resort outside central Foz, scored for what it is.

Wish is a five-star family and golf resort with village-style accommodation, extensive green grounds and plenty to do between waterfall excursions. We'd choose it for a relaxed family stay rather than immaculate luxury. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the welcoming staff, breakfast and cleanliness; children's activities and the pools are particular strengths. The airport and Brazilian falls entrance are convenient by car, but this isn't a walk-out-to-dinner location.

The trade-offs are some dated room furnishings and occasional lapses in check-in or housekeeping follow-through, rather than a broadly poor service record. Travelers expecting consistently slick five-star service should look elsewhere. Also check your dates: the heated pool is scheduled to close November 3–9, 2026, for maintenance, with an outdoor pool remaining available. Confirm meal-plan inclusions rather than assuming everything is covered.

Best for: families wanting activities between sightseeing trips; golfers; travelers who prefer spacious green grounds
Watch out for: heated-pool closure November 3–9, 2026; car or taxis needed for off-site dining; some dated furnishings and occasional service delays
Location: Convenient by car for the airport and Brazilian falls entrance; removed from central dining.
Rooms: Comfortable, generously sized accommodation, though some guests find the furnishings dated.
Cleanliness: Strong overall feedback across Tripadvisor and Expedia, with occasional housekeeping misses.
Service: Warm staff earn frequent praise; check-in and request handling can be less consistent.
Amenities: An 18-hole golf course, pools, hot tubs, gym and substantial children's activities.
Fees and surprises: Meal inclusions vary by plan; valet parking and pets carry charges; check heated-pool maintenance dates.
