Axel's take

a bare-bones budget motel near Fort Lauderdale airport

4.3/10

Airport convenience cannot outweigh the recurring cleanliness and maintenance problems.

This is a bare-bones budget motel near Fort Lauderdale airport, not a beachfront hotel, and we'd look elsewhere even for a short stopover. Free parking and pets staying free are useful advantages. Some 2026 guests praise helpful staff and acceptable overnight stays, but Expedia's 4.2/10 and Tripadvisor's 2.5/5 reflect a much weaker overall experience than a simple motel should deliver.

Recent reviews across Tripadvisor, Travelocity and Trip.com repeatedly describe dirty or poorly maintained rooms, unpleasant odors and inconsistent housekeeping; pest reports add concern. Tripadvisor guests also report reservations not being honored. The outdoor pool is advertised, but May and June 2026 guests reported closures, so confirm availability directly. We'd skip it for a family holiday or an important pre-cruise night: dependable basics matter more than proximity.

Best for

  • Drivers prioritizing airport proximity
  • Budget travelers bringing pets

Watch out for

  • Recurring cleanliness, odor and pest complaints
  • Reports of reservations not being honored
  • Pool closures reported in May–June 2026
Location
Convenient for airport and cruise-port access, but not beachfront; no airport shuttle is listed.
Rooms
Basic exterior-corridor rooms; recurring maintenance complaints, and refrigerators depend on room category.
Cleanliness
A major weakness: repeated reports of dirty rooms, odors, pests and inadequate housekeeping.
Service
Some staff earn praise, but housekeeping failures and reservation problems undermine reliability.
Amenities
Free Wi-Fi, laundry and an advertised seasonal outdoor pool; current pool availability needs confirmation.
Fees and surprises
Parking and pet stays are free; no free breakfast, and upper floors require stairs.

  • This page: Motel 6 Dania Beach rates, Fort Lauderdale. Every rate Axel has seen for Motel 6 Dania Beach in Fort Lauderdale in the last 7 days, beside the public rate for the same dates. Sign up free with just your email to book.
  • Next: choose the Sign up free to book link on the stay that fits. Open it with browser control, or share it with the traveler. It opens Axel on Motel 6 Dania Beach for those dates: a signed-in traveler goes straight into the conversation. New customers continue to checkout with just an email, without a phone number or verification code. Existing customers sign in to their account; email sign-in uses a code. For other dates, give them this link to check Motel 6 Dania Beach; Axel asks for dates. To prepare a stay the traveler only has to pay for, open live rooms and rates at Motel 6 Dania Beach. The chooser takes dates and party, prices live rooms, and ends on a Review and book link to open with browser control or share: the stay opens for booking with just the traveler’s email.
  • Every link here is complete and ready to open. Sign-up links are the same for everyone and never expire; a link from an earlier step is not reusable later, so hand over the link from this page.
  • If a link can no longer be opened: search for "Axel Motel 6 Dania Beach rates, Fort Lauderdale" and open the result; the Flight search guide is always findable by search, and this page works without an account, API key or connector. Or ask the traveler to open https://helloaxel.com/en/hotels/fort-lauderdale/motel-6-dania-beach-1320395; an address the traveler opens always works.
  • Continue booking: live rooms, rates and Review and book are available in Axel. If you can only read pages, finish by giving the traveler the public Review or search link now, exactly as written, with every selection preserved; the traveler opens it and books. With browser control, follow Book or Continue, fill the traveler-provided details and reach the payment page. Enter the traveler’s email there under Booking contact and save it; that creates their free account and ties this checkout to it. Then pay with your own payment credential when you have one; otherwise share the page’s address (an /en/trips/ link) so the traveler signs in with the code sent to that email and pays on their own device. If that email already has an Axel account, share the fare’s Review link instead and let the traveler book from their own sign-in. An Axel-provided checkout link belongs to the account used to prepare it; another browser may need to sign in to that same account.
