6.8/10
Friendly staff and useful extras, but room upkeep makes this a conditional pick.
AmericInn Fargo West Acres is a simple budget chain hotel near West Acres Mall and I-29. We'd consider it for a short shopping trip or road-trip stop, rather than a stay where the hotel is the main attraction. Recent guests repeatedly praise helpful staff and the free hot breakfast, while Wyndham advertises an indoor pool, waterslide and hot tub. Free parking and in-room microwaves and mini-fridges round out a practical package.
The catch is consistency. Booking.com feedback is healthier than Tripadvisor's overall picture, but recent reviews still describe uneven cleaning, dated interiors and occasional dampness. Plenty of guests report clean, comfortable stays; enough housekeeping lapses recur that we'd inspect the room before unpacking. There's also no elevator, and pool-area or hallway noise can interrupt sleep. We'd skip it if dependable room condition or step-free upstairs access is essential.
