Axel's take: 8.0/10

A practical airport stop with roomy suites, though maintenance and service can be uneven. a no-frills, all-suite airport hotel, scored for what it is.

Comfort Suites El Paso Airport is a no-frills, all-suite hotel we'd pick for a convenient overnight rather than a special stay. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise spacious rooms, comfortable beds and airport proximity. Cleanliness feedback is broadly positive, and free breakfast, parking and an airport shuttle make it a useful budget-minded base.

The trade-off is an older property with recurring reports of worn carpets and furniture, occasional bathroom maintenance problems and staff who aren't always easy to find. Noise varies: many guests sleep well, but others hear hallway activity or neighboring rooms. We'd choose it for a short airport or business stop, but skip it if fresh interiors, consistently attentive service or dependable quiet matter most. Confirm shuttle arrangements directly before arrival.

• Best for: airport overnights; budget-minded business travelers; travelers wanting extra room

• Watch out for: worn interiors and uneven maintenance; variable sound insulation; front desk can be hard to reach

• Location: Airport convenience is the main draw; better suited to transit stays than downtown sightseeing.

• Rooms: Spacious suites with microwaves and refrigerators; comfortable beds, but furnishings show wear.

• Cleanliness: Generally praised across recent reviews, with some housekeeping lapses and bathroom complaints.

• Service: Many guests praise helpful staff, though desk availability and problem handling are inconsistent.

• Amenities: Free breakfast, WiFi, airport shuttle and self-parking; fitness room and seasonal outdoor pool.

• Fees and surprises: Check-in deposit required; pet fees and weight limits apply, and extended parking costs extra.
