Axel's take: 6.2/10

Helpful staff and practical surroundings, but tired rooms make this a compromise. a no-frills budget hotel on Edmonton’s south side, scored for what it is.

This is a no-frills budget hotel on Edmonton’s south side, best treated as a place to sleep rather than spend downtime. Free parking, Wi-Fi and a basic breakfast help keep things practical. Expedia and Agoda guests repeatedly praise the helpful staff and convenient access to restaurants and shopping; several recent visitors also report clean rooms and comfortable beds. We'd consider it for a short, budget-first stop with a car.

The catch is inconsistency: Booking.com and Tripadvisor reviews describe worn furnishings, uneven cleaning, smoke smells and maintenance problems. Breakfast is limited, and don't count on a pool or hot tub: guests report both unavailable. Multiple Expedia guests reported the elevator out of service through early October 2026. We'd skip it if dependable room condition, step-free access or family leisure facilities matter.

• Best for: budget-first travelers with a car; short south-side stopovers

• Watch out for: uneven cleaning and worn rooms; recurring elevator outage reports; pool and hot tub unavailable

• Location: Practical for south-side dining and shopping; better suited to driving than a downtown walking trip.

• Rooms: Dated furnishings and variable mattress comfort; some guests report satisfactory, comfortable rooms.

• Cleanliness: Mixed across sites: recent clean-room praise sits alongside recurring reports of stains and odors.

• Service: Helpful, welcoming front-desk staff are the most consistent positive.

• Amenities: Free parking, Wi-Fi, basic breakfast, gym and laundry; don't plan on swimming.

• Fees and surprises: Pet and early/late check-in/out fees apply; confirm elevator operation or arrange a ground-floor room.
