Axel's take: 7.7/10

Good everyday comfort and breakfast, tempered by renovations and disputed damage charges. a practical, limited-service chain hotel on Edmonton’s south side, scored for what it is.

This is a practical, limited-service chain hotel off Highway 2, best suited to travelers with a car. We'd consider it for a south-side stopover: Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise clean, spacious rooms, comfortable beds and a generous included breakfast. Free parking, in-room fridges and microwaves add useful value, while the indoor pool and waterslide appeal to families.

The caveats deserve attention. Expedia lists guestroom renovations through November 30, 2026, with weekday daytime work; confirm pool, slide and hot-tub availability because closures recur in guest feedback. Several recent reviewers across sites also dispute damage charges and describe difficult complaint handling, despite broadly positive staff ratings. Photograph existing room damage and clarify deposit terms. We'd skip it for a car-free city break or if dependable leisure facilities are essential.

• Best for: south-side business trips; road-trip stopovers; families after confirming pool availability

• Watch out for: guestroom renovations through November 2026; recurring reports of amenity closures; disputed post-stay damage charges

• Location: Convenient for Highway 2, South Edmonton Common and airport access; better with a car.

• Rooms: Generally spacious and comfortable, with fridges and microwaves; condition varies during renovations.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Booking.com, Expedia and recent guest accounts.

• Service: Everyday friendliness earns strong praise, but several guests describe contentious charge disputes.

• Amenities: Included hot breakfast, indoor pool, waterslide, hot tub and gym; verify water-facility availability.

• Fees and surprises: Parking is free; a damage deposit is required, and recent guests report disputed additional charges.
