Hotels in Durango, ColoradoA refreshed, no-frills 3-star motel on north Main Avenue
8.5/10
A strong budget base for outdoor trips, with cleanliness and friendly staff leading the appeal.
Adventure Inn is a refreshed, no-frills 3-star motel, not a full-service boutique hotel. It's a strong pick for travelers who want a clean, practical base rather than extensive facilities. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests consistently praise cleanliness and helpful staff; summer 2026 Expedia reviews also describe comfortable, updated rooms. Free parking and an outdoor cedar hot tub add useful extras for road-trippers and hikers.
The compromises are motel-sized rooms, potential traffic or neighboring-room noise, and no breakfast. Choose the room category carefully: the Small Queen is explicitly compact. Construction drew complaints in February and May 2025, while 2026 guests describe a pleasant remodel; ask whether any work remains before booking. We'd skip it for a downtown-on-foot vacation or a stay requiring full-service amenities. Arrange late arrivals in advance.
