Axel's take: 8.9/10

A strong stadium-side choice, with spacious rooms and genuinely helpful staff. a comfortable 4-star opposite Croke Park stadium, scored for what it is.

The Croke Park is a comfortable 4-star that gets the important things right: spacious rooms, comfortable beds and consistently well-reviewed housekeeping. It’s a particularly strong pick for matches, concerts or business at the stadium directly opposite. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the friendly staff, while breakfast earns plenty of enthusiastic mentions. We’d choose it for dependable comfort rather than a doorstep location for Dublin’s main sights.

The trade-off is geography: allow roughly 25 minutes to walk into the city centre, depending on your destination. Match days also change the atmosphere, bringing busy public spaces and pressure on restaurant availability; reserve dinner ahead. Check parking inclusions, too, because it isn’t free with every booking. We’d skip it if central nightlife and sightseeing without walks or taxis are your priorities.

• Best for: stadium events and concerts; business travelers; travelers who value spacious rooms

• Watch out for: walk or taxi to central sights; busy bar and restaurant on match days; parking not included with every booking

• Location: Directly opposite the stadium; recent guests describe roughly a 25-minute walk into the centre.

• Rooms: Spacious rooms and comfortable beds are recurring strengths across guest reviews.

• Cleanliness: A standout: Booking.com scores cleanliness 9.4/10, reinforced by recent Tripadvisor and Expedia feedback.

• Service: Staff friendliness and helpfulness receive consistent praise; event-day dining can be stretched.

• Amenities: The Sideline bar and restaurant, breakfast, free Wi-Fi and a complimentary 24-hour gym.

• Fees and surprises: The hotel confirms parking charges for third-party bookings; EV charging costs extra, and breakfast inclusion varies.
