#4 of 9 hotels in Banani by Axel's take. Banani is #4 of 8 places to stay in Dhaka. The best hotels in Banani, ranked · Where to stay in Dhaka

Axel's take: 8.2/10

Friendly service and a pleasant Gulshan setting outweigh the dated rooms. an independent mid-range business hotel in Gulshan 2, scored for what it is.

Hotel Lake Castle is an independent mid-range business hotel in Gulshan 2, and it's a strong pick for practical comfort rather than polished luxury. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, clean rooms and the park-side setting; breakfast also earns plenty of compliments. Recent feedback remains mostly positive, making this a sensible base for work trips and longer stays in the neighborhood.

The main compromise is the aging interior: Trip.com and Tripadvisor reviews describe dated facilities, and some rooms face a neighboring wall rather than greenery. We'd book an explicitly named lake-view category if outlook matters, and confirm breakfast inclusion before arrival. The small gym and on-site dining cover the essentials, but we'd skip it for a design-led stay or consistently modern rooms.

Best for: business travelers visiting Gulshan; longer stays prioritizing helpful service; travelers choosing practicality over luxury
Watch out for: dated rooms and facilities; some rooms face a nearby wall; breakfast inclusion varies by booking
Location: Park-side Gulshan 2 setting, with shops nearby and strong guest location ratings.
Rooms: Generally comfortable, but dated; book a lake-view category rather than assuming an open outlook.
Cleanliness: Mostly positive across sites, including guest feedback from 2026.
Service: Attentive, friendly staff are the most consistent strength across recent reviews.
Amenities: On-site restaurant, coffee lounge, small gym, terrace, free Wi-Fi and free parking.
Fees and surprises: Check breakfast inclusion; early check-in and late checkout can incur charges.
