#3 of 9 hotels in Han River & City Center by Axel's take. Han River & City Center is #2 of 6 places to stay in Da Nang. The best hotels in Han River & City Center, ranked · Where to stay in Da Nang

Axel's take: 8.8/10

A strong city base with river views, helpful staff and some peak-hour friction. a five-star riverside business hotel with family apartments, scored for what it is.

Novotel Danang Premier Han River is a five-star city hotel, not a beach resort, and it’s a strong pick for travelers who want river views and downtown convenience. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, clean, comfortable rooms and a varied breakfast. Balcony rooms make the most of the setting, while the larger apartments suit families who need space rather than resort grounds.

The trade-off is a busy high-rise experience: guests mention elevator waits, crowded breakfasts and traffic noise in some rooms. Those are manageable drawbacks, but less welcome at five-star level. Ask about room positioning if you’re sensitive to sound. We’d choose it for a comfortable city stay; we’d skip it for a quiet beachfront holiday.

  • Best for: city sightseeing with river views; business travelers; families wanting apartment space

  • Watch out for: peak-hour elevator and breakfast crowds; traffic noise in some rooms; not a beachfront resort

  • Location: On the downtown Han River waterfront, with restaurants nearby and Han Market within walking distance.

  • Rooms: Comfortable rooms, many with balconies; larger apartments earn praise for family-friendly space.

  • Cleanliness: A consistent strength across recent guest feedback, despite occasional housekeeping timing complaints.

  • Service: Warm, helpful staff are a recurring highlight, especially in the executive lounge.

  • Amenities: Outdoor pool, gym, spa and kids’ club; later guest reviews describe pool use after the spring 2026 maintenance closure.

  • Fees and surprises: Breakfast depends on the booking; airport transfers cost extra, and Booking.com lists a refundable damage deposit.
