A strong pool-and-spa escape, but housekeeping and extra fees weaken the upscale promise.
Éilan is a Tuscan-inspired 4-star vacation-club resort, now branded Hilton Vacation Club rather than Bluegreen or Choice. We'd pick it for a pool-and-spa break near Six Flags and La Cantera shopping, rather than downtown sightseeing. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the attractive grounds, comfortable beds, clean rooms and welcoming staff. The outdoor pool, indoor lap pool and substantial gym give it genuine resort appeal.
The catch is service consistency: several recent guests describe missed towel changes and rooms going unserviced during multiday stays. Expedia lists housekeeping on request for an additional charge. Mandatory paid valet and a resort fee also take the shine off the value, especially if you're barely using the facilities. We'd skip it for a River Walk-focused trip or if daily housekeeping is essential; downtown is roughly a 30-minute drive away.
