The Bellevue is a historic luxury hotel whose restoration makes it a strong pick for a Center City weekend. Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise the refreshed interiors, spacious rooms, cleanliness and welcoming staff. The theater-district location is genuinely useful, and access to the enormous Sporting Club—with a lap pool, courts and serious training facilities—is a standout rather than another token hotel gym.
The polish is not entirely consistent: recent accounts mention slow elevators and uneven service, particularly around dining and luggage assistance. There’s a mandatory destination fee, parking costs extra, and children have tightly restricted Sporting Club access. Bathhouse is separately ticketed; its outdoor terrace remains unfinished.
