Hotels in Anaheima no-frills 2-star motel in Orange
6.4/10
A practical budget stop, but room upkeep is too inconsistent for an easy recommendation.
Big A is a no-frills motel in Orange, not a walk-to-Disneyland hotel in Anaheim. Free parking, in-room fridges and microwaves make it practical for drivers visiting Chapman University or nearby sports venues. We'd consider it for a short, budget-minded stop rather than a family vacation base. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise friendly owners, helpful service and quiet nights, and some report clean, comfortable rooms.
The catch is consistency. Other guest accounts describe dirty floors, worn furniture and poorly cleaned bathrooms—not simply a lack of fancy extras. Expedia's overall feedback remains mixed, despite several positive 2026 stays. There is no pool, gym or on-site restaurant, and upstairs rooms require stairs. We'd skip it if dependable housekeeping matters more than keeping costs down; confirm your room type and deposit requirements before arrival.

Watch out for: inconsistent cleaning and room upkeep; Disneyland requires transportation; cash deposit and no elevator
Location: In Orange near Chapman University; practical for driving to Honda Center, Angel Stadium and Disneyland.
Rooms: Basic exterior-corridor rooms with fridges and microwaves; condition and comfort receive mixed feedback.
Cleanliness: Some recent guests report clean rooms, but dirty floors and bathroom-cleaning complaints recur.
Service: Friendly owners and helpful staff are recurring positives, though checkout experiences vary.
Amenities: Free parking and Wi-Fi; no pool, fitness center or on-site restaurant.
Fees and surprises: Expedia lists a cash breakage deposit; checkout is 10:30 a.m., and there is no elevator.
