Axel's take

a mid-range all-suite hotel in Garden Grove near Disneyland

8.1/10

A strong family base with refreshed suites, but not doorstep Disney convenience.

Anaheim Marriott Suites is a mid-range, all-suite hotel in Garden Grove, and a strong pick for families who value separate living and sleeping space over being beside Disneyland’s gates. Marriott confirms the suites have been renovated, while recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise their size, cleanliness and helpful staff. Nearby restaurants and Target make family logistics easier, and the outdoor pool adds a useful break from park days.

The trade-off is convenience: plan on transportation to Disneyland rather than a quick walk back for naps. Parking costs extra, and breakfast is not automatically included. Some guests also flag limited clothing storage and maintenance glitches despite the refresh. We’d choose it for practical family space, but skip it if effortless park access or consistently polished facilities matter most.

Best for

  • families wanting a separate bedroom
  • Disney trips with shuttle or rideshare plans
  • travelers prioritizing space over luxury

Watch out for

  • transportation needed for convenient Disney access
  • parking and breakfast add to the bill
  • limited storage and occasional maintenance issues
Location
Garden Grove base with restaurants and Target nearby; less convenient for walking to Disneyland.
Rooms
Renovated two-room suites with mini-fridges; some guests find clothing storage inadequate.
Cleanliness
Recent feedback is predominantly positive, particularly for the refreshed suites.
Service
Helpful, friendly staff draw repeated praise, though problem handling is not universally consistent.
Amenities
Outdoor pool, whirlpool, fitness center and Route 22 restaurant; these are not kitchen-equipped apartments.
Fees and surprises
Paid parking; breakfast depends on the booking; pet fees apply and Wi-Fi terms vary.

Pay with your own payment credential when you have one; otherwise share the checkout link so the traveler signs in with the email code and pays. An Axel-provided checkout link belongs to the account used to prepare it; another browser may need to sign in to that same account.
