#5 of 9 hotels in Green Point & De Waterkant by Axel's take. Green Point & De Waterkant is #2 of 8 places to stay in Cape Town. The best hotels in Green Point & De Waterkant, ranked · Where to stay in Cape Town

Axel's take: 8.5/10

Warm service and rooftop views impress, but expansion works compromise the calm. a contemporary 4-star boutique hotel on Mouille Point’s seafront, scored for what it is.

O’ Two, now marketed as Terra by O’Two Hotels, is a contemporary 4-star boutique hotel beside Mouille Point’s promenade. It’s a strong pick for travelers who want coastal walks, comfortable rooms and personal service rather than a large resort. Booking.com, Tripadvisor and Expedia guests consistently praise the helpful staff, cleanliness and rooftop pool’s mountain-and-ocean views. Balconies and kitchenettes add practical appeal, though room sizes and outlooks vary.

The main reservation is construction: several 2026 guests report disruptive building work next door, including noise around the rooftop, and the hotel still lists underground parking as under construction. Dining is also evolving, with new restaurants advertised for later in 2026; confirm breakfast arrangements and what is actually open. We’d choose it for an active Cape Town break, but light sleepers and anyone planning quiet pool days should check the works before committing.

  • Best for: couples exploring Cape Town; promenade walkers and runners; travelers who prefer personal service

  • Watch out for: expansion construction and rooftop noise; room sizes and sea views vary; changing dining and parking arrangements

  • Location: Beside the Mouille Point promenade, with restaurants nearby and the V&A Waterfront within walking reach.

  • Rooms: Contemporary rooms with balconies and kitchenettes; check the exact size and view rather than assuming an ocean panorama.

  • Cleanliness: Consistently strong feedback across Booking.com and Expedia makes cleanliness a clear strength.

  • Service: Friendly, attentive staff are the most consistent highlight across the major review sites.

  • Amenities: Rooftop heated pool and bar, gym and spa; do not assume forthcoming Mar facilities are already available.

  • Fees and surprises: Confirm breakfast inclusions; underground parking remains under construction, with alternative bays offered nearby.
