Axel's take: 6.8/10

Family fun and friendly staff, but tired facilities keep expectations firmly budget. a budget beachfront all-inclusive with a family water park, scored for what it is.

All Ritmo is a budget beachfront all-inclusive in Puerto Juárez, not the polished four-star escape its listing might suggest. We'd consider it for families who prioritize slides, pool time and friendly staff over stylish surroundings. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the employees and children's activities, while ocean-view suites offer more appeal than the basic rooms. It's a workable family holiday, provided expectations stay realistic.

The recurring drawback is upkeep: dated rooms, worn fixtures and maintenance problems appear across sites. Food gets genuinely mixed feedback, and cleanliness earns praise without being uniformly reliable. Guest ratings are substantially stronger on Tripadvisor than Booking.com or Expedia. The water park closes Tuesdays, and water shoes are mandatory. We'd skip it for refined dining, dependable room condition or easy access to Hotel Zone nightlife.

• Best for: budget-conscious families with younger children; travelers prioritizing pools and slides

• Watch out for: dated rooms and recurring maintenance issues; mixed dining feedback; Tuesday water-park closure; mandatory water shoes

• Location: Beachfront in Puerto Juárez, away from the main Hotel Zone entertainment.

• Rooms: Generous space in some suites, but worn fittings and repair complaints recur.

• Cleanliness: Many guests praise housekeeping; others report lapses, so consistency is a concern.

• Service: Friendly restaurant, bar and entertainment staff are the clearest recurring strength.

• Amenities: Water park, pools, kids club and games; official Wi-Fi provision is in common areas.

• Fees and surprises: Expedia lists a city tax payable at the property; confirm your booking includes the all-inclusive plan.
