#5 of 7 hotels in Puerto Madero by Axel's take. Puerto Madero is #8 of 9 places to stay in Buenos Aires. The best hotels in Puerto Madero, ranked · Where to stay in Buenos Aires

Axel's take: 8.3/10

A strong sightseeing base with spacious rooms, though breakfast gets mixed reviews. a comfortable 4-star city hotel between San Telmo and Puerto Madero, scored for what it is.

Ker San Telmo is a comfortable 4-star city hotel that makes a strong base for exploring Buenos Aires. You're within walking distance of Plaza de Mayo, San Telmo and Puerto Madero. Tripadvisor and Booking.com guests repeatedly praise the spacious rooms and big, comfortable beds, while recent Expedia reviews reinforce the generally strong cleanliness and helpful service. We'd pick it for practical comfort and location rather than boutique character.

The trade-offs are fairly modest: breakfast earns both enthusiastic praise and complaints about variety and food temperature, and some Tripadvisor guests flag maintenance details needing attention. The hotel confirms that its heated pool, gym and saunas are included, but the health club is in the second basement—not a sunny pool retreat. Skip it if polished luxury or poolside lounging is central to your trip.

  • Best for: first-time Buenos Aires sightseeing; couples wanting spacious rooms; short pre-cruise stays

  • Watch out for: mixed breakfast feedback; basement pool and health club; paid parking

  • Location: Walkable to Plaza de Mayo, San Telmo sights and Puerto Madero.

  • Rooms: Spacious rooms and large, comfortable beds are recurring strengths; occasional maintenance complaints.

  • Cleanliness: Consistently strong overall, supported by recent reviews across multiple sites.

  • Service: Usually praised as friendly and helpful, despite occasional negative experiences.

  • Amenities: Halo restaurant, Wi-Fi and an included basement health club with heated pool, gym and saunas.

  • Fees and surprises: Parking and massages cost extra; Expedia also lists a city tax and possible early-check-in charges.
