Axel's take: 8.5/10

Spacious rooms and helpful staff make this a strong central base, despite some dated touches. a practical 4-star city hotel in Monserrat, scored for what it is.

This practical 4-star in Monserrat is a strong pick for travelers who want room to spread out and straightforward access to central Buenos Aires. Expedia and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise spacious rooms, cleanliness and helpful staff; Tripadvisor feedback broadly agrees. Its position beside Avenida 9 de Julio and near Independencia subway makes sightseeing convenient. We'd choose it for comfort and location rather than luxury or distinctive design.

The main compromise is condition: some recent guests across several sites describe dated rooms, with occasional air-conditioning issues. Breakfast is included and often praised, though feedback on variety is mixed and some guests find it heavy on sweets. Covered parking costs extra and is subject to availability. We'd skip it if polished interiors and a reliably extensive breakfast matter more than space and convenience.

• Best for: sightseers using public transport; families wanting larger rooms; business travelers

• Watch out for: some dated rooms and occasional air-conditioning issues; mixed feedback on breakfast variety; paid parking subject to availability

• Location: Central Monserrat, beside Avenida 9 de Julio and a short walk from Independencia subway.

• Rooms: Generous room sizes are a consistent strength; some guests report dated fittings or inconsistent cooling.

• Cleanliness: Strong overall feedback across sites, despite occasional dissenting reviews.

• Service: Helpful reception staff draw repeated praise; problem handling is not uniformly positive.

• Amenities: Included buffet breakfast, Nélida restaurant, rooftop terrace, gym and sauna/spa facilities.

• Fees and surprises: Covered parking carries an additional charge and is subject to availability; reserve spa treatments ahead.
