Axel's take: 8.6/10

A comfortable Puerto Madero base, stronger on space and service than fresh luxury. an upscale full-service hotel in Puerto Madero, scored for what it is.

Hotel Madero is an upscale full-service hotel in Puerto Madero, and we'd pick it for generous rooms, dockside walks and consistently well-reviewed hospitality. Booking.com and Expedia guests praise comfortable beds and cleanliness, while recent Tripadvisor reviews repeatedly single out helpful staff and a substantial breakfast buffet. Balconies and a rooftop wellness area with a heated pool, sauna and gym round out a comfortable city base.

The main reservation is polish: some Tripadvisor and Trip.com guests describe tired furnishings and maintenance details that fall short of luxury expectations, though the overall feedback remains strongly positive. Parking costs extra, and breakfast inclusion depends on your booking. It's a strong choice for couples and business travelers who prioritize space and a calmer setting; we'd skip it if pristine, newly renovated interiors are essential.

• Best for: couples wanting a calmer city base; business travelers; travelers who prioritize spacious rooms

• Watch out for: some reports of dated room finishes; paid parking; check breakfast inclusion

• Location: Walkable Puerto Madero setting near dockside restaurants; less central for a subway-led stay.

• Rooms: Spacious rooms with balconies and comfortable beds; some guests flag worn finishes.

• Cleanliness: A clear strength across Booking.com, Expedia and recent guest accounts.

• Service: Warm, helpful staff earn repeated praise, with occasional reports of uneven follow-through.

• Amenities: Rooftop heated pool, spa, sauna, gym, restaurant and bar; massages require reservations.

• Fees and surprises: Parking and spa treatments cost extra; confirm whether your booking includes breakfast.
