Axel's take: 7.8/10

A strong Recoleta base for space and location, less convincing for four-star polish. a practical 4-star city hotel in Recoleta, scored for what it is.

Dazzler is a practical 4-star city hotel whose biggest selling point is Recoleta, not designer interiors. We'd choose it for sightseeing: the cemetery, restaurants and metro are close, and the generously sized rooms make a comfortable base. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise cleanliness and helpful staff. Included buffet breakfast, a gym and a seasonal outdoor pool round out a useful package.

The trade-off is condition: several recent guests describe tired rooms or facilities needing an upgrade, so expect functional rather than polished. Breakfast opinions vary, and a recent Tripadvisor review flags troublesome air-conditioning. Pool dates also need checking: the hotel's website says January–March, while Expedia lists November–March. We'd skip it for a luxury stay or a trip built around swimming; it makes more sense for travelers spending their days exploring.

• Best for: first-time Buenos Aires sightseers; travelers who prioritize spacious rooms; couples wanting a walkable neighborhood

• Watch out for: dated rooms and uneven maintenance; conflicting seasonal pool dates; early 10 a.m. checkout

• Location: Excellent sightseeing base near Recoleta Cemetery, restaurants and Las Heras metro.

• Rooms: The hotel lists 31-square-meter rooms; guests like the space, but some report dated fittings.

• Cleanliness: Generally a strength, supported by recent guest comments and solid category ratings.

• Service: Helpful, accommodating staff receive consistent praise across review sites.

• Amenities: Included buffet breakfast, free Wi-Fi, gym, sauna and seasonal outdoor pool.

• Fees and surprises: Parking costs extra; Expedia lists a city tax, and checkout is 10 a.m.; confirm pool dates directly.
