Axel's take: 7.0/10

A practical Belgrano base, but expect older rooms and an uneven breakfast. a straightforward, older 3-star hotel in Belgrano, scored for what it is.

Cristal Palace is a straightforward, older 3-star hotel whose strongest selling point is Belgrano: Cabildo’s shops and Congreso de Tucumán subway station are close by. We'd consider it for a short stay with plans in the neighborhood rather than a hotel-centered holiday. Guests often appreciate the roomy accommodation and helpful reception staff; a January 2026 Tripadvisor reviewer also praised the bed, shower and cleanliness.

The compromise is consistency. Breakfast attracts repeated complaints on Tripadvisor and Expedia, including in February 2026, despite some positive reports. Maintenance and sound insulation also draw criticism, although much of that evidence is older. Free covered parking is a useful bonus, but spaces aren't guaranteed. We'd skip it if modern finishes, reliable quiet or a substantial breakfast are priorities. Recent detailed feedback is relatively sparse.

• Best for: short stays in Belgrano; visitors to nearby medical centers; travelers prioritizing space over polish

• Watch out for: uneven, often basic breakfast; older fittings and reported room-to-room noise; limited parking availability

• Location: Close to Cabildo shopping and roughly two blocks from Congreso de Tucumán subway station.

• Rooms: Often described as spacious; maintenance and sound insulation receive criticism, mostly in older reviews.

• Cleanliness: Generally respectable ratings and recent praise, though guest experiences are not uniformly positive.

• Service: Reception staff frequently earn praise for friendliness and help with problems.

• Amenities: The hotel confirms included breakfast, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, minibars and luggage storage; verify gym availability directly.

• Fees and surprises: Covered parking is free but subject to availability; standard checkout is an early 10 a.m.
