#4 of 9 hotels in Lipótváros & Parliament by Axel's take. Lipótváros & Parliament is #1 of 8 places to stay in Budapest. The best hotels in Lipótváros & Parliament, ranked · Where to stay in Budapest

Axel's take: 9.0/10

A standout three-star for breakfast, clean rooms and effortless transport connections. a colorful 3-star superior city hotel opposite Nyugati station, scored for what it is.

T62 is a colorful 3-star superior opposite Nyugati station, and a strong pick for a Budapest city break. The Frida Kahlo-inspired lobby gives it personality, but the fundamentals justify the recommendation: recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, helpful staff and a varied breakfast. Booking.com's strong cleanliness and comfort ratings reinforce that picture. It's excellent for its class, especially if you'll use the metro and trams nearby.

The trade-off is a busy boulevard setting: some guests report street noise, although others find rooms quiet. Standard doubles are compact, and the breakfast room can get crowded at peak times. Standard rooms also lack kettles; choose Superior or Large if that matters. We'd skip it if you want a peaceful neighborhood or generous room space. Drivers should factor in paid parking away from the hotel.

  • Best for: couples on sightseeing breaks; travelers arriving at Nyugati; public-transport users

  • Watch out for: street noise in some rooms; compact standard rooms without kettles; breakfast crowds at peak times

  • Location: Opposite Nyugati station, with metro and tram connections close by.

  • Rooms: Standard doubles are 16–20 square meters; Superior and Large rooms add space and kettles.

  • Cleanliness: Strong ratings across major sites; occasional housekeeping lapses are not the dominant picture.

  • Service: Recent guests consistently praise friendly, helpful staff; reception operates around the clock.

  • Amenities: Buffet breakfast, lobby bar, free Wi-Fi and luggage storage cover city-break essentials.

  • Fees and surprises: No on-site parking; the hotel directs drivers to a paid garage 550 meters away. Pets incur a surcharge.
