#4 of 9 hotels in Terézváros & Andrássy Avenue by Axel's take. Terézváros & Andrássy Avenue is #2 of 8 places to stay in Budapest. The best hotels in Terézváros & Andrássy Avenue, ranked · Where to stay in Budapest

Axel's take: 8.8/10

A strong central base with comfortable rooms, but rooftop access isn't guaranteed. a contemporary 5-star city hotel near the Opera, scored for what it is.

Pullman Budapest is a contemporary 5-star city hotel that makes a strong base for sightseeing. Now part of Accor rather than Hard Rock, it puts you close to the Opera, restaurants and metro connections. Recent Tripadvisor, Expedia and Accor guests repeatedly praise the cleanliness, comfortable beds, generous breakfast and welcoming reception staff. We'd choose it for a stylish, comfortable city break rather than grand-hotel ceremony.

The clearest catch is the rooftop: it's used for private events, and several guests report finding it unavailable. Service earns plenty of praise overall, but recent accounts on Tripadvisor and Expedia describe occasional disorganization and uneven follow-through—noticeable at this level. Parking and breakfast can cost extra. We'd skip it if dependable rooftop evenings or consistently polished luxury service are central to your plans.

Best for: couples on a city break; sightseers exploring on foot; business travelers wanting a central base
Watch out for: rooftop access restricted by private events; occasional service inconsistencies; extra charges for parking and some breakfast bookings
Location: Central, near the Opera and Basilica, with metro stations a short walk away.
Rooms: Modern and generally comfortable; beds and showers attract frequent praise.
Cleanliness: A clear strength across guest ratings, despite occasional housekeeping-detail complaints.
Service: Reception is widely praised; some recent guests report disorganized handling of problems.
Amenities: Restaurant, lobby bar and 24-hour gym; confirm rooftop availability before booking.
Fees and surprises: Parking, pets and breakfast may carry extra charges; this is now an Accor Pullman, not Hard Rock.
