#5 of 9 hotels in Terézváros & Andrássy Avenue by Axel's take. Terézváros & Andrássy Avenue is #2 of 8 places to stay in Budapest. The best hotels in Terézváros & Andrássy Avenue, ranked · Where to stay in Budapest

Axel's take: 8.6/10

A strong-value sightseeing base, with clean rooms and a few service shortcuts. a simple 3-star city hotel in central Pest, scored for what it is.

NEXTO DORMERO is a simple 3-star city hotel in central Pest, and we'd put it firmly on the shortlist for a sightseeing break. Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise cleanliness, comfortable beds and the walkable location near the Opera and Oktogon. Recent reviews also repeatedly appreciate helpful staff and complimentary minibar drinks. It's good value for travelers who want a comfortable base rather than a hotel to spend the day in.

The compromises are practical: standard rooms are compact, Wi-Fi complaints recur across sites, and some guests report rooms running warm. Reception is shared with the neighboring DORMERO at certain times, so check arrival instructions. Breakfast and parking cost extra. We'd skip it for a work-heavy stay requiring dependable internet, or if spacious rooms and round-the-clock assistance in the same building are priorities.

Best for: couples on sightseeing breaks; budget-conscious solo travelers; travelers exploring on foot
Watch out for: unreliable in-room Wi-Fi; compact rooms and occasional cooling complaints; reception sometimes handled next door
Location: Central Pest, with the Opera, Oktogon transport links and plenty of dining within walking distance.
Rooms: Simple, generally comfortable rooms; standard doubles are compact, and some guests find cooling insufficient.
Cleanliness: A consistent strength across recent reviews; some guests say housekeeping or fresh towels need requesting.
Service: Staff attract frequent praise, but shared reception arrangements can make arrivals confusing.
Amenities: Complimentary minibar drinks, buffet breakfast, a bar and paid parking; Wi-Fi reliability is the weak spot.
Fees and surprises: Card-only payments; breakfast and parking extra; the official site flags local accommodation taxes.
