#7 of 9 hotels in Belváros & Váci Street by Axel's take. Belváros & Váci Street is #4 of 8 places to stay in Budapest. The best hotels in Belváros & Váci Street, ranked · Where to stay in Budapest

Axel's take: 8.6/10

A strong sightseeing base, refreshed rooms and helpful staff outweigh a few housekeeping lapses. a renovated 3-star city hotel in Budapest’s walkable historic center, scored for what it is.

This renovated 3-star is a strong pick for exploring Budapest without spending much time on transport. Váci Street, the river and plenty of restaurants are close by, while Expedia and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise the helpful reception staff and buffet breakfast. The hotel completed a comprehensive refurbishment in 2026 and joined Radisson Individuals on August 11, so older complaints about tired decor deserve less weight.

The trade-offs are compact rooms and housekeeping that is not entirely consistent: most guests report clean accommodation, but several recent reviews mention dusty floors or missed cleaning. Breakfast earns good feedback, though longer-stay guests may find it repetitive. We’d choose it for a practical, comfortable city break rather than spacious rooms or extensive facilities; skip it if generous lounging space is central to your stay.

Best for: couples on sightseeing breaks; solo travelers wanting a central base; travelers prioritizing location over facilities
Watch out for: compact rooms in some categories; occasional housekeeping lapses; paid parking off-site
Location: Walkable District V setting near Váci Street, restaurants, metro connections and the Danube.
Rooms: Refurbished in 2026, with air conditioning and kettles; check the room category carefully for space.
Cleanliness: Strong overall feedback, tempered by several recent reports of dusty floors or missed cleaning.
Service: Friendly, helpful reception staff are a consistent strength across Expedia and Trip.com reviews.
Amenities: Buffet breakfast, free Wi-Fi, 24-hour reception and luggage storage; facilities focus on city-break basics.
Fees and surprises: Breakfast inclusion depends on the booking; pets cost extra, and paid parking is in a nearby garage.
