#1 of 8 hotels in City Park & Heroes' Square by Axel's take. City Park & Heroes' Square is #8 of 8 places to stay in Budapest. The best hotels in City Park & Heroes' Square, ranked · Where to stay in Budapest

Axel's take: 9.0/10

A strong park-side choice for spotless rooms, helpful staff and a quieter Budapest base. a small historic 4-star hotel beside Budapest’s City Park, scored for what it is.

D50 is a small 4-star hotel and event venue in a restored historic building beside City Park. It’s a strong pick if you care more about comfort and attentive service than a downtown address. Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise the cleanliness, comfortable beds and helpful reception team; recent Tripadvisor feedback reinforces that picture. Breakfast earns plenty of praise, too, and the garden terrace adds somewhere pleasant to unwind.

The main compromise is location: excellent for City Park, Heroes’ Square and the Széchenyi baths, less convenient if your days revolve around the Danube and central nightlife. Expect to use public transport rather than step straight into the busiest sightseeing streets. Parking is available but charged separately, as are pets and airport transfers. We’d choose it for a calmer city break, not doorstep nightlife.

  • Best for: couples seeking a quieter city base; families visiting City Park; travelers arriving by car

  • Watch out for: outside the main riverside sightseeing core; parking costs extra; pet and airport-transfer charges

  • Location: Beside City Park, with Heroes’ Square metro roughly a ten-minute walk away.

  • Rooms: Modern, air-conditioned rooms in a historic building; guests regularly praise comfortable beds.

  • Cleanliness: A standout strength across Booking.com, Expedia and recent guest feedback.

  • Service: Helpful, friendly staff and a 24-hour reception receive consistent praise.

  • Amenities: Buffet breakfast, garden terrace, bar, free Wi-Fi and private parking.

  • Fees and surprises: Officially presented as 4-star, not the catalog’s 3-star; parking, pets and airport transfers carry extra charges.
