Excellent transport links, but uneven rooms make this a qualified pick. a historic 4-star city hotel beside Rogier metro, scored for what it is.

This historic 4-star beside Rogier metro is a practical Brussels base, rather than a reliably polished stay. Formerly Hotel des Colonies, it combines period character with refurbished spaces, and Brussels-North station is a short walk away. Booking.com and Trip.com guests particularly praise the location and welcoming staff; comfortable beds and spacious rooms also earn frequent mentions. We'd consider it for a short city break, provided the room allocation is confirmed.

The catch is consistency. Despite Accor advertising renovated rooms, recent guests still describe worn furnishings, bathroom faults and occasional cleaning lapses, alongside much happier reports. Renovation work remains a consideration, and Accor currently says the fitness room is closed for renovation. Full room cleaning is on request. We'd skip it if dependable four-star finish, daily housekeeping or an available gym matters more than location.
