Hotels in BostonAxel's take
a full-service 4-star hotel in Boston’s Back Bay
8.7/10
A strong Back Bay base with standout staff, but mind the fees and seasonal pool.
The Colonnade is a full-service 4-star in Back Bay, and we’d pick it for comfortable rooms, genuinely helpful staff and easy sightseeing without a car. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the beds, cleanliness and especially the front-door team. With Prudential shopping across the street and the Green Line outside, the location does much of the work. It’s a strong choice for university visits, shopping and exploring Boston.
The catches are the mandatory daily facilities fee and separately charged parking. The hotel confirms its rooftop pool is closed for the 2026 season, with a return planned for 2027; when open, access is first-come, first-served. A few guests mention thin walls or loud air-conditioning, rather than a widespread comfort problem. We’d skip it if swimming is essential to this trip or you dislike compulsory extras.

- This page: The Colonnade Hotel Back Bay rates, Boston. Every rate Axel has seen for The Colonnade Hotel Back Bay in Boston in the last 7 days, beside the public rate for the same dates. Sign up free with just your email to book.
- Next: choose the Sign up free to book link on the stay that fits. Open it with browser control, or share it with the traveler. It opens Axel on The Colonnade Hotel Back Bay for those dates: a signed-in traveler goes straight into the conversation. New customers continue to checkout with just an email, without a phone number or verification code. Existing customers sign in to their account; email sign-in uses a code. For other dates, give them this link to check The Colonnade Hotel Back Bay; Axel asks for dates. To prepare a stay the traveler only has to pay for, open live rooms and rates at The Colonnade Hotel Back Bay. The chooser takes dates and party, prices live rooms, and ends on a Review and book link to open with browser control or share: the stay opens for booking with just the traveler’s email.
- Every link here is complete and ready to open. Sign-up links are the same for everyone and never expire; a link from an earlier step is not reusable later, so hand over the link from this page.
- If a link can no longer be opened: search for "Axel The Colonnade Hotel Back Bay rates, Boston" and open the result; the Flight search guide is always findable by search, and this page works without an account, API key or connector. Or ask the traveler to open https://helloaxel.com/en/hotels/boston/the-colonnade-hotel-back-bay-1456822; an address the traveler opens always works.
- Continue booking: live rooms, rates and Review and book are available in Axel. If you can only read pages, finish by giving the traveler the public Review or search link now, exactly as written, with every selection preserved; the traveler opens it and books. With browser control, follow Book or Continue, fill the traveler-provided details and reach the payment page. Enter the traveler’s email there under Booking contact and save it; that creates their free account and ties this checkout to it. Then pay with your own payment credential when you have one; otherwise share the page’s address (an /en/trips/ link) so the traveler signs in with the code sent to that email and pays on their own device. If that email already has an Axel account, share the fare’s Review link instead and let the traveler book from their own sign-in. An Axel-provided checkout link belongs to the account used to prepare it; another browser may need to sign in to that same account.
