Custom House is a historic, mid-range timeshare property rather than a conventional full-service hotel, and it's a strong pick for exploring Boston without a car. One-bedroom suites give you separate living space and a kitchenette, with Faneuil Hall, the waterfront and Aquarium transit nearby. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, clean rooms and the location. The 26th-floor observation deck adds something genuinely distinctive.
The main caveat is the façade improvement project: Marriott currently warns of exterior wrapping and temporary platforms, while saying services and amenities remain unaffected. Confirm the outlook before booking for a view. Some guests report lower-floor noise, though feedback remains overwhelmingly positive.
