Hotels in BonaireAn unpretentious mid-range waterfront dive resort with a casino
7.9/10
A strong diving base near town, with room upkeep the main compromise.
Divi Flamingo is an unpretentious mid-range waterfront dive resort with a casino, not a polished luxury retreat. It's a strong pick if diving and snorkeling matter more than stylish interiors: the house reef, dedicated docks and well-regarded dive team are the main draw. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the friendly staff and easy walk into Kralendijk for restaurants. Oceanfront rooms make the most of the setting.
The compromise is uneven upkeep. Recent reviews mix clean, comfortable rooms with recurring reports of tired bathrooms, faulty air-conditioning and maintenance delays. The small beach areas sit along a coral shoreline; don't expect a broad sandy beach. Expedia listed one pool closed through October 5, 2026; confirm reopening before booking. We'd skip it for a beach-first escape or consistently polished rooms, but divers willing to accept those trade-offs should find it a good fit.
