Hotels in Bocas del ToroA simple 3-star waterfront hotel in Bocas Town
7.5/10
Pick it for the waterfront setting and helpful staff, not polished rooms.
Hotel Vista Mar is a simple 3-star waterfront hotel, and we'd choose it for the setting rather than the finish. The restaurant deck and hammock lounge put the water front and center, with town's restaurants and boat connections within walking distance. Booking.com guests generally rate it well, and Expedia reviews reinforce the praise for helpful staff. Cleanliness is mostly a strength, and included breakfast makes it a practical island-hopping base.
The trade-off is upkeep: several 2025–2026 guests describe worn rooms, unreliable hot water and noise from neighboring rooms or the bar. Some rooms have sea-view balconies; don't assume every booking does. An April 2026 guest reported roof repairs, but we couldn't confirm whether work continues. We'd skip it for guaranteed quiet or consistently updated rooms; otherwise, it's a good, straightforward base with an appealing waterfront hangout.
