Axel's take: 8.0/10
A strong family-fun pick, but less convincing for a quiet, polished getaway. A lively mid-range waterfront resort built around family entertainment, scored for what it is.
Margaritaville Resort Biloxi is a lively mid-range waterfront resort, not a luxury retreat or casino hotel. It’s a strong pick if keeping children entertained is the priority: the rooftop lazy river, slides and big arcade are the main draw. Recent Expedia and Hotels.com guests repeatedly praise clean, spacious rooms and helpful staff. The hotel now includes Paradise Pier rides on scheduled operating days, plus ropes-course and climbing access, making the entertainment package more appealing.
The trade-offs are uneven service and convenience. Tripadvisor guests describe busy elevators, restaurant staffing shortages and inconsistent housekeeping, although the broader guest picture remains positive. Budget for a nightly resort fee and paid breakfast, and check dining hours rather than assuming everything opens daily. The water playground operates March through October; we’d skip it for a winter swimming trip or a getaway where polished service matters more than activities.
-
