Axel's take: 8.5/10
A strong oceanfront pick, provided stairs and ongoing construction won't spoil your escape. An upscale 4-star clifftop boutique hotel with residential suites, scored for what it is.
Azura is an upscale 4-star boutique hotel and residential enclave on Bermuda’s South Shore. It’s a strong pick for an ocean-focused break without a sprawling resort atmosphere. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise clean, spacious rooms, comfortable beds and genuinely helpful staff. The private beach, multiple pools and oceanfront SURF restaurant give you good reasons to linger; larger suites add kitchens and laundry for families or longer stays.
The catch is the clifftop layout: expect plenty of stairs, particularly returning from the beach. Construction remains a caveat: Expedia warns of neighboring building work, and management confirmed a new gym was under construction in August 2026 after a guest reported broken equipment. Check progress before booking. We’d skip it for limited mobility or lively nightlife; exploring beyond the hotel generally means buses or taxis.
