#9 of 9 hotels in Neukölln by Axel's take. Neukölln is #11 of 12 places to stay in Berlin. The best hotels in Neukölln, ranked · Where to stay in Berlin

Axel's take: 7.0/10

Useful kitchenettes and excellent transport, but noise and summer heat limit the appeal. a simple, self-service aparthotel in Berlin’s Neukölln district, scored for what it is.

The Rix is a simple, Homaris-managed aparthotel, not a full-service hotel. It’s a reasonable pick for independent travelers who want a kitchenette and quick access to Neukölln’s S-Bahn and U-Bahn. Booking.com and Hotels.com ratings point to a generally satisfactory rather than standout stay, with guests repeatedly praising convenient transport, nearby shops and clean apartments. We’d choose it for practicality over polish.

The main trade-offs are railway noise, variable room upkeep and summer heat without built-in air-conditioning. Recent reviews across Booking.com, Hotels.com and Trip.com describe these drawbacks, although some guests find their apartments quiet. Check-in and assistance are remote, so resolving problems won’t mean walking down to reception. We’d skip it for light sleepers, hot-weather stays or anyone wanting hands-on hotel service.

Best for: independent travelers comfortable with digital check-in; self-catering city breaks; visiting friends or family in Neukölln
Watch out for: railway and corridor noise; no built-in air-conditioning; remote assistance rather than onsite reception
Location: Close to Neukölln S-Bahn and U-Bahn, with shops and cafés nearby; sightseeing generally requires transit.
Rooms: Simple kitchenette-equipped units; recent guests report some worn furnishings and inconsistent window condition.
Cleanliness: Generally a strength in aggregate ratings, though individual recent experiences vary.
Service: Digital check-in and virtual assistance; guests report both helpful responses and frustrating problem handling.
Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, lift and kitchenettes; no breakfast service or built-in air-conditioning.
Fees and surprises: Housekeeping is on request and costs extra; Hotels.com lists no onsite parking.
